I just picked this bad boy up on Saturday. It is a RRA with a free float quad rail forend, chrome lined barrel, and a flip up rear site. It came with 1 30 round mag and I bought 1 Magpul P Mag already and have 2 more on order in addition to 500 rounds of various types of ammo to see what the gun likes.

Image

I bought this 870 SuperMag back in Jan and it is a dual purpose gun; hunting and HD. The HD setup has the TacStar +2 mag extension. Remington "Police" barrel, SpecOps NRS stock with the PowerPak.

Image

I also have a HiPoint .40 Carbine (which is for sale) and a couple other good non-hunting long guns that aren't quite black.

Here's my coyote gun. Custom AR by Dedicated Technology. I wish my bolt guns were as accurate as this one.

It rocks. It is my all time fav rifle. Love the ergonomics, the 50 round mags, and lack of recoil.

Despite what the naysayers claim about the caliber, there has been some tests done by members at my forum, and I am comfortable in using the round for self defense.
It looks like a whopping distance between the bore-line and optic sight-line. Maybe five inches?

How have you managed to make that suitable for CQC? At what distance are you zeroed?
Everytone always worries about that - it's really a non issue. Once you shoot one - you see. It is zeroed at 50 yards. At 25 yards, I hit about 2 inches low - about what an AR zeroed at 50 yards does.

I have a laser set for 7 yards (indoor, home defense distance). I know where the eotech reticle falls at that distance. The last at 7 yards matches up with the bottom most point of the eotech reticle (at the bottom of the circle). So, even close up - I know where to put the sight at.

My eye sight isn't good enough to shoot at 100 yards, so I can't say a "group size." But, I can hit a silhouette at 100 yards. And, others with an eotech on their PS90 have gotten 1/2"-1" groups at 100 yards. I do all my longdistance shooting at 50 yards with it usually. I get 1/2" to 1" groups - depending on if I do my part with the trigger. The borehight issue would only matter for longer distances. This is not a sniper rifle. It is a personal defense weapon. While it has a range of about 200 meters - I would venture to say that it is mostly used for 100 meeters or less.

I've been looking at a POF 308, but I haven't heard too much about it. The local dealers don't know anything about it either. I've read the website, and checked a couple other forums, but I am hoping someone here has an opinion on them. http://www.pof-usa.com

Apparently the owner is an Aerospace engineer who likes rifles, and applied his knowledge of advanced material to their manufacture. Allegedly a shooter can take it out of the box, put 5000 rounds through it, break it down and wipe it off with a dry cloth and it'll be good as new. No lube. Is it too good to be true? what do y'all think?
It is better to be judged by twelve than carried by six. But if you eat enough ice cream, you might have to get 12 guys to carry you.
