How hard is it to just report the news?

Twitter user @gourdnibler captured a Weather Channel reporter struggling to stand upright and seemingly holding onto dear life — until the camera pans out a bit and captures two people casually strolling in the background.
It's the weather. Should be pretty easy to say the wind is blowing x mph and it is raining x much.

Got to sensationalize it in order to promote the global warming agenda. Plus, I think a lot of them are disappointed the storm wasn't worse.

I think there was a similar incident during Harvey. where they were in a boat to show the flooding, and someone walked by in shin deep water.

Reporters now feel they must be "part of the story" rather than just telling the story.

My wife and I actually saw that one. It was hilarious.

This!

When I see reporters in the midst of a hurricane I'm disgusted...and I promptly quit watching.

Dumb...bunnies.

He’s leaning the wrong way too. People lean into the wind in these storms. So silly.

I soiled my trousers laughing when i saw his theatrics. I've never seen such foolishness, but not surprised being the fake media that they are. It was better than most slap stick comedies.

There was also one I saw a few months ago, and I think it was in Dallas. It showed a group of police and other first responders doing a fast water rescue of a women in a car stranded in high water on an access road, trying to maneuver a rescue boat up next to the car door so they could pull her out through the window. The 4 or 5 men next to the vehicle were standing in water that was mid-thigh deep less than 10 feet from dry pavement. There was no "fast water" and they were having no difficulty standing and moving around the car. I was thinking why don't you just open the door and walk her to the dry pavement. Looked like a case of once you have the equipment and specialized training you really WANT to use it.

Also saw another video from a reporter in South Carolina making his report as he stood in water mid-thigh deep that looked like it was that way as far as the camera was showing. No theatrics on his part but talking about the widespread devastation the homeowners were experiencing. Right at the end of the segment two guys maybe 30-40 yards behind him come into view strolling across what had appeared to be deep water that wasn't more than a couple of inches deep making it obvious the reporter had searched for a low spot to stand in for dramatic effect.

So-called journalists are for the most part (no, not all) left leaning fake news specialists, i.e. liars.

This thread is classic!

Fake news has been around a long time. The term Yellow journalism was coined in the mid-1890s... and its characteristics:
"-scare headlines in huge print, often of minor news
-lavish use of pictures, or imaginary drawings
-use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudoscience, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts"

...are still in wide use today.

I saw one interview where a legacy media guy said "there's always been an element of fiction to newspapers" and it wasn't until recent times that a journalist could get fired for it (e.g. Jayson Blair)
