Anyone know where or who has some really good summer sausage, I love it with crackers and cheese?
I heard that Sprouts deli had some but not one close to me to see.
No hot or spicy just good tasting.
Thanks to all.

It turns out we got some summer sausage from Fischer's Market in Muenster for Christmas. We've been enjoying it with some tasty smoked Muenster cheese from the same place. Very good, but well off the beaten path.

You might try Kroger's Private Selection brand Beef Summer Sausage. I used to buy Hickory Farms but it's too difficult to find and the Kroger brand is similar. They have one that's plain beef and one that's beef and garlic. Their Private Selection crackers are pretty good also; I like the sesame.

I will say the Quicky Mart in Clarksville used to have some very good and would let you sample it,

There is a Sprout's in Rowlett. Not real close to Cash, but if your out and about... I have never shopped there because I heard they are posted.
I have also heard they have very good produce and meats though.

The only one I was ever in is on 544 and all I saw was the blue alcohol sign, I may have misses others but did not see them.

Good to know, may have to check them out now! Thanks.
Edited to add: Just checked on Texas3006 and it says the one in Rowlett is posted both 30.06 and 30.07. This was from last year, so who knows? I will swing by and see for myself when I get a chance.

Lena,
Some of the best sausage products I've ever eaten came from a place called: Praseks on Hwy 59 near El Campo, Texas.
Not only do they make great meat products, they're absolutely great people to do business with.
I'm sure they'd ship you their summer sausage.
I might add: Their stuff cost more, because they make quality stuff, not like big name corporations who turn out tasteless, texture-less, meat stuff for the masses.
