I am a newly minted US Citizen!
Finally, My wife and I became US Citizens, we were part of some 120 who gave the "Oath of allegiance" on the eve of July 4th Celebrations.
Yeah, It is time to vote and get a new passport.
Happy Independence day!
and proud to be a Texan
I got the hat, the quilted white shirt, Jeans, Buckle, the Belt, and waiting to get my new set Texan's Boots.

I run into a lot of people who have been here 20+ years, can't speak a lick of English, and have no desire to become a citizen. I am always happy to see someone who honestly wants to become an American.
The system to become an American citizen is not broken, it's just not easy.

Way to go, friend!

Congrats! Getting citizenship in the US isn't easy, and automatically makes you more knowledgeable about our government than, sadly, at least 50% of native-born Americans.
