Good evening guys/gals I am new to the forum and couldn't find the "introduce yourself" thread so hopefully its ok that I post it here.
A little about myself. I'm a 26 years old Hispanic male living in a small town in south Texas called Laredo. I love hunting, fishing and spending time out at the ranch cooking out and enjoying time with the wife and family. I work full time at Melton Truck Lines as equipment control operator/truck and trailer inspector lending out flatbed equipment(chains, binders, straps) and inspecting trucks and flatbeds looking for DOT violations, damages and mechanical issues.
I'm currently in the manufacturing pending stage of my CHL. I have carried a firearm for my previous employer working as a commissioned armed guard/driver for a armored car security service. I have always wanted to get my CHL and luckily i'm a week away from being able to carry. I waited too long I think to take the class, I guess i'm just a late bloomer. I don't know why I waited so long, I guess its just got to me and said you know what, enough is enough this world is going crazy with all these mass shootings in schools, malls, movie theaters and said to myself, I do not want to be on the wrong end of a barrel without a fighting chance.
So here I am posting my first post on the awesome forum. Looking forward to continue taking in important information from the folks who have been carrying for a long time now. If anyone else is from Laredo would be cool to meet some of you guys/gals.
Happy posting !!
