...young man found guilty of murdering a young boy during a home invasion/burglary...his mother had tearfully begged the jury not to be harsh with her wonderful young son, who she would dearly miss...he was misunderstood and oppressed...the whole song and dance, while he sat there looking for all the world like an escapee from a Sunday School class...well...they handed down the verdict today, and he instantly turned into a hissing, snarling, cursing screaming animal...or, rather, he dropped the act...life....30 years before chance of parole...he proved to the jury before they dragged him away that they'd made the right decision...

so sad , another skittle loving angel
he did plead guilty , why was he so surprised ?
too bad the homeowner didnt "take care of it " now we get to feed him for life and train him to be an even better killer .
sorry if my opinion is harsh . but he did plead guilty so its no mistaken identity

With that attitude, I don't think there will be a shortage of information for the parole board in 30 years.

He murders someone and ...
His health and dental insurance premiums are now paid for years in the future ... No worries about food or housing, no laundry detergent to buy....
He came out better financially than he would have with the couple hundred dollars scored from a home invasion.
Now, they'll teach him that ... crime doesn't pay (getting caught does)
I'm glad he thanked the jury for paying his way for the future.

It was hard for me to believe my ears, but I think I heard the reporter on the news tonight say that the murderer's aunt is blaming the juvenile system for not straightening him out when he was incarcerated for his earlier crimes.

Instead of robbing one homeowner now he's robbing every taxpaying citizen.RPB wrote:He murders someone and ...

What a family. Their boy committed murder after building an impressive rap sheet, but you can see how they feel they are the ones who have been victimized. It's the system's fault. Until we rein in that attitude as a society, things are going to keep getting worse.
“While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.” ― Samuel Adams
