Tatoo Idea
I'm thinking of getting Μολὼν λάβε tattooed on my right arm somewhere than can be concealed by a t shirt. I don't know that the feed back here will ultimately influence my decision one way or the other but though I'd seek it all the same.
I'm not a bit tat guy I only have 1 at the moment and it's of a favorite video game icon.

It's a personal choice, just make sure that you think it through and sit on it for a while, as you should with any major decision in life.

no rush on these things.....sit on it for some good time and if you still really want it, then get it. But once its done its done. I had plenty of ideas a few years ago but only one do I still want. Problem is its a pricey piece and whenever i have the cash, another gun just follows me home and then I have to feed it a steady diet along with all the ones that followed me home.
Re: Tatoo Idea
I think a tattoo is a very personal statement. Especially if it's on skin that's usually covered by clothes. What you and your SO think is more important that what we think. Even if you get Zune tattoos.

Re: Tatoo Idea
There are dozens of people that have this exact same tattoo on Glocktalk. You should try a search there and browse around for a while.
It isn't something I would do, but I did a number of those before I was old enough to know better

Is it the TriForce from Zelda?atxgun wrote:I only have 1 at the moment and it's of a favorite video game icon.
But I am curious. I don't have any tattoos, but if I did get one it'd most likely be video game related. Probably something cool from one of the Final Fantasy games... or my Halo runes symbol.

Dang, and I thought I had a somewhat original idea. This makes the idea loose some points.jbirds1210 wrote:There are dozens of people that have this exact same tattoo on Glocktalk.

you can always tighten it up....atxgun wrote:Dang, and I thought I had a somewhat original idea. This makes the idea loose some points.jbirds1210 wrote:There are dozens of people that have this exact same tattoo on Glocktalk.
Tatoos, just by their very nature, are not original. does it take anything away from the meaning? no. if you're doing it for the personal significance, it loses nothing. if you're doing it for the "cool" factor, well... if you hafta ask....
I still think you should get it, but me, I'd get it over my heart, in moderate sized lettering. maybe even get a flag, or other type of symbolic image to couple with it. your tat, your call.
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

I think that Mr. Cool Ice was original, but I don't recommend going that route.

Re: Tatoo Idea
I'd say sit on the idea for a while. There's never any rush when getting a tattoo, especially one that will be mostly concealed.
That being said, if after sitting on it for a while you still like the idea of it always being on your skin, then go for it. The main point is that it's got to mean something to you, something you don't want to forget. For me, I prefer tattoos of Bible verses. Sounds ironic huh?

Re: Tatoo Idea
A agree with others. Give it a couple years' thought and see if you still think it's a good idea.
Otherwise, you may end up regretting your decision in your later years.
I bet this guy is already doing just that, after tattooing Ron Paul's face and failed presidential primary campaign slogan on his arm.

I suggest at least forty or fifty years.NcongruNt wrote:I agree with others. Give it a couple years' thought and see if you still think it's a good idea. Otherwise, you may end up regretting your decision in your later years.

Is it safe to bet that Leviticus 19:28 is not one of the verses you chose?dukesean wrote:For me, I prefer tattoos of Bible verses. Sounds ironic huh?
it's socially unacceptable to be ahead of your time.
