While non-standard, both are real words. You, of course, are free to continue to not use them. :)

If conversate is a real word, why then is not in my dictionary? I know it means "converse" but for reasons unknown to me, instead of saying "converse" the unwashed made up a dopey sounding word in it's place.

Ain't is in my dictionary, but those who employ this word are quite often the woefully undereducated. Bumpkins, toothless yokels, and hillbillies of all sizes and ages love this word. However, when I hear someone say "ain't it hah?" as a means of confirmation, I always smile.

And yes, orientate is a real word, but "orient" has fewer syllables for the same import, thus it's a bit more verbally elegant...those who I've heard use "orientate" were generally British.

Using the OED editor's usage decides criterion, "teh", as in mistyping "the", as seen on boards around the world will soon have the same currency as the correct spelling.

WildBill,

"ect." - you sly devil...

I am sad to say, "Meh" is a word according to my dictionary.

No doubt it's constant internet use allowed it to blunder into legitimacy.

Being called "Chief" when that person knows your name.

Those who do this are being condescending and think you aren't aware...

"Oh - PAUSE - My gawd!"

Stop using this obscenity unless you think sounding like a twit attractive.

If, you're a preteen you have some leeway, but not much...

Since meh may come from the Yiddish, I will accept it as a legitimate word.

I don't like it when people use "yada yada" if they think that Jerry Seinfeld invented it.

"Partner" - another perfectly good word, but not when hijacked for political correctness to replace the words wife or husband.

Some states (California for one) are insisting the words "husband or wife" be dropped altogether and replaced with partner.

I think I know why and I'll bet you do too...

It's funny about different areas using different sayings.
Moving from Georgia to Texas 47 Years ago and hearing "Will You bring Me to the store" instead of "Will You take Me to the store"

In Colorado visiting In-Laws hearing my twin Daughters referred to as "Youse Guys" by their cousins.

By the way a pair of twins can be correct as my great Grand Mother had two sets of twins, so that would be a pair of twins

"Just saying"

Another lame circumlocution in vogue - stop it, you sound trite.
