Have you looked at Grapevine?

What do you do that has to be done in the DFW metroplex? There are a lot of open spaces in Texas.TexasTornado wrote:I've been applying to jobs recently and it seems most of the bites are in the Irving area (two interviews next week). I can commute for a little while, but ideally would like to move by year end.
I prefer a small town feel: grass, trees, and lot sizes larger than postage stamps.
Maximum commute to Irving or Dallas 45 minutes with traffic.
With that said, does anyone have advice on areas I should be looking in?

Re: Searching for a new home base.
The sad part is 100% of my job COULD be done remotely from anywhere in the world. Just hard to find companies that realize that. Dallas is where my boyfriend wants to be and I've got family in Plano, Rockwall, and Sherman that I don't want to stray too far from. That's why I've settled on the DFW metroplex for work.Oldgringo wrote:What do you do that has to be done in the DFW metroplex? We live in Euless and love it. Has that small town feel, very community minded people. We volunteer for many of the community events that Euless does every year. We wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Oh, and by the way, it's about 10 minutes to Irving, 25 minutes to Dallas and about the same to Fort Worth.

Can you find a small place that you can stay during the week and a nice place you can have for the weekends?
That's what the wife and I are doing in Austin.
