From the liberals: Whether the chicken crossed the road or was just curious about crossing the road, we must respect the chicken's decision and choice unless it stayed on it's side of the road and did not agree about crossing the road. Then the chicken shall be shamed for being close minded.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Chuck Norris: Because I allowed him to.

All the rest are posted in fun, with nothing but respect for all named persons: :tiphat:

Charles Cotton: Because the chicken wanted to exercise his second amendment rights within the confines of the law, and he realized that the side of the road he was on was posted 30.06.

Russell: The chicken spotted an invalid 30.07 sign, and wanted to report it to www.Texas3006.com to get his point count up into the top ten.

AndyC: Because the chicken needed help on his first AR build, and since he saw me shooting my Barrett .50 cal on this side of the road, he decided to come come over for guidance.

oljames3: Because he was a forward observer, and he needed a better vantage point to call a fire mission back to the Redlegs.

anygunanywhere: Well, Mrs. Anygun was making up a batch of her famous grape jelly, and the chicken wanted a taste.

The Annoyed Man: Because ... (I stopped writing here because I didn't want to run out of pixels trying to put a full TAM train of thought together).

I think you all are giving chickens too much credit. They really aren't that smart.

I've never actually seen a chicken cross the road. I believe most chickens strongly believe in their right to openly cross the road but choose to conceal the fact that they cross the road as it draws less attention to the chicken. Hopefully in the future there will be more places the chicken can cross the road both openly and concealed.

Even one chicken crossing the road death is one too many. Why can't those people on the other side of the road see that we have a road violence problem. Simply put, if we have fewer roads then there will be fewer road murders. What we need is some common sense legislation that makes it harder for people to build roads.

What do you get if you cross the road with a chicken?

Questioned, apparently.

Traveling some back roads outside of Granbury with my family a rooster darted out in front of us. I safely hit the brakes and still wacked him. Went up to the farm house it appeared to be heading toward and knocked on the door. Little ol' farm lady answered. I told her I killed her rooster out in the road and would be willing to replace him. She looked at me kinda funny and said, "Well young man suit yourself. The chickens are out back!"

Never again

Drive to La Grange. Lots of yard chickens scurrying across the roads. There is even one rooster that will stand in the middle of the road and stare you down as you approach. I have had to stop on multiple occasions to wait him out.
