Another idiot too cheap to buy a holster.

At least the reporter stated it right, 'negligent discharge'.

Very clear article with a little bit of good advice thrown in. A breath of fresh air from the press.
Cocked, unlocked, one in the pipe and no holster?
Who recommended that to him?

It's obvious he hasn't visited the TexasCHLForum.philip964 wrote:Very clear article with a little bit of good advice thrown in. A breath of fresh air from the press.

Or maybe he has. Probably one of those, "Will I be denied?" threads where the OP never returns.tomtexan wrote:It's obvious he hasn't visited the TexasCHLForum.philip964 wrote:Very clear article with a little bit of good advice thrown in. A breath of fresh air from the press.

Not to mention a belt, if he was having to pull his shorts up enough to catch the trigger and cause it to fire.jmra wrote:Another idiot too cheap to buy a holster.
Hope he has a smooth recovery. Maybe his friends could send him a holster instead of flowers?

It's the only way some folk will learn. As long as they don't shoot anybody else, I don't fret about it.

As a matter of fact, I did. Seems O.K. for the S&W 442, which I carry every day. Doesn't completely cover the trigger guard, though. Always ready to learn; what is best for that revolver?68Charger wrote:I hope you did t invest in an Uncle Mikerdcrags wrote:I was one of those idiots, then wised up.jmra wrote:Another idiot too cheap to buy a holster.

I think the standard advice is "something that completely covers the trigger guard". I don't of anything specific to that gun, though.rdcrags wrote:As a matter of fact, I did. I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

A 37 year old man wearing shorts too big to stay up and has a gun, loose in those loose shorts.
I wonder if a picture will ever come out (I doubt it). I would guess no one would be surprised if it did. Some people do indeed need protection from themselves.
