I did not see the movie, so I can't really comment on whether or not your synopsis if valid or not, but it really a moot point.
The director is not an arbiter for Atheism. The only thing that a all atheist have in common is the lack of belief in god. The label has nothing to do to views of genocide, any particular political views, or agenda.

Aronofsy, the director of the film, may very well have his own agenda, but I think it is a bit irresponsible to lump all Atheist in with a single person.

Maybe what you meant to say is: The director, who happens to be an atheist, is using God's Word to support his extreme environmental agenda, which in reality seeks the extinction of undesirable humans.

I wasn't seeing any of "our reviews" on this thread...I was seeing a whole lot of "I will not see this because..." posts.
I still plan on watching it as it looks like it will be entertaining. If it sucks, I will tell you. If not, I will tell you.

Since my other post on this was quoted (mostly within other's quotes) several times, I want to make sure I clear something up because I don't want folks having any doubts about what I stand for, for or against. When I said I'm "non-religious", I mean very specifically that I'm just not a church-goer, and only that. I most certainly do believe in God, that He created our universe, and life on this Earth is here because He wanted it here. I also want to clear up that I won't watch that movie ever because they took a well-known story from the Bible and made it into something completely different, purely for ideological reasons, IMO. I know the story of Noah and the Flood and that movie, from the synopses I have read, flat out ain't it.

Ok, sorry I there was three more things like the bible. There was plenty of pitch on the wood. Fountains did spring up around the ark. They did send out birds to see if there was land. Ok fourth thing. Noah got drunk and his sons covered his nakedness (Hollywood was not going to pass up on that one)

The worst thing about these movies that are supposedly from the Bible, is that there is so much meaning and detail that you don't get unless you are really studying it. We usually think of the popular stories of the Bible as the way we remember learning them as a child, but upon studying them using a study Bible, we see a much bigger view of God's infallible character. I haven't seen the movie, but if imagine Hollywood adding the part of Noah's sons covering his nakedness was simply a way to try and discredit the scriptures and Noah's character. They don't understand the big picture of the meaning and effect this event had. It's important to read the Bible and see the whole picture. As I've been reading through it amazes me how the great men of the Old Testament that we see as righteous struggled with sin then just as we do today, yet God still blessed them and counted them as righteous.

When I was an atheist, one of the things that struck me about Scripture was its candor. Even the heroes, or especially the heroes, are shown thorns and all. It was also amazing to me how the things I "knew" about the Bible and Christianity as an atheist crumbled simply by reading it.

A lot of that produce aint from here.
Non of their clothing, electronics, housewares, non firearm sporting goods are made in the USA. Hardly anything is even made in Mexico. Its all China.

And yes I used to work there, when this started happening. I'm one of those who remember when Walmart was a true American sourced company and its boss drove a beat up pickup.
