Just stick to the subject.03Lightningrocks wrote:...Oh.. The reason I told you I was a military brat would not have to be explained if you spent any time beyond the six month boot camp. Military families movie all over the country. That was the point... Sorry it went over your head... But not real surprised.
I sure did say that, but since you and SS decided to reply in continuance, here I am again. I'm prepared to end the dialog as long as you quit calling on me to answer. But you can't resist can you? Especially if you think I am not here so that it looks to the others like you have the last victorious word. Surprise, this is a discussion board. There is no victor.A few posts back you said you were done here.

The place is soooooo different from when I grew up there. Born & raised. An example of change : (1) We used to ride horses in Orange County, I mean like between the rows of trees in the orange groves. Now it's all built up and they have TV shows about Orange County Housewives. (2) We used to call it "fog" when I was a kid, now they call it "the marine layer." How friggin' snobby can you get? (3) We used to go hunting up north of L.A., now it's all built up. (4) When I lived in L.A. proper we could go dirt-biking up in the Hollywood Hills, now banned of course. (5) Not only that, you could hike up to the hills and look over the back and see cows grazing down in the San Fernando Valley. (6) Nobody hung out at Venice Beach. It was always empty, now full of wackos. "Muscle Beach" was actually next to the Santa Monica Beach pier, not at Venice Beach. Anyhow, I'll be in the Santa Barbara area, and that place is really different now too. They went all Beverly Hills like.
Worst thing I noticed out there is not just the Leftiness of the place, but the deep anger that seems to be festering in people. Not the laid back and open place of my youth.
And you call me pogie bait? Sounds like you have some real life experience living on the mean streets. I Guess you forgot posting about living the tough life a few years back. Were your long flowing locks just a blowing in the breeze? bawahahahaha. This is greatness.
Just curious.... Seeing as how you were riding horses and living it up in Kali, what would you know about Pasadena Texas in the early seventies? LOL.
