:iagree:

He's shaky and vulnerable to the prosecution. I don't think he adds much compared could detract from the momentum the defense currently has.

All 159 pages (at this point) of this thread exist PRECISELY because of attorney Crump. Without Crump's incitement, there would not have been an arrest, indictment, or trial of Zimmerman at all. He is absolutely central to the case. If he lied, if he falsified testimony, if he tampered with witness testimony, then he absolutely is central to the defense. Crump has a long history as a race-baiter. That's how he makes his money. Crump is to Treyvon Martin as Al Sharpton is to Tawana Brawley. If Zimmerman is acquitted, Crump must be disbarred.

I was just watching fox news and they showed african americans marching.... Couldn't tell if it was current footage or not.

I do like the defense attorneys better then the prosecution and IMO they are doing a better job. My opinion doesn't matter though but I hope the jury sees that as well. I think it was huge today with the great witness and his talking about the evidence being improperly contained in plastic. That is a huge error.

Not much, other than she also identified Zimmerman's voice. That one really may be extremely helpful. Most of the other witnesses have had a greater level of prejudice. Martin's family claim it's Martin. Zimmerman's family claim it's Zimmerman. Zimmerman had something of an edge, because he had several friends also claim it's Zimmerman. However, this is just a neighbor. A "friendly neighbor" (her own description) but still somewhat removed from the situation, and she says it's Zimmerman's voice. I suspect we'll hear more on that during the defense's close.
Au contraire.

The key testimony she provided was not spoken. She was a nice African American neighbor who knew the Zimmermans, thought Zimmerman and his wife were also nice people and was concerned about him and his wife, so concerned she went to find the wife and then came back to check on GZ. Hard to square that with the image of Zimmerman that the prosecution wants to convict him of being. Remember, the prosecution's whole case is that Zimmerman is a racist who racially "profiled") and chased down a black kid so he could murder him, because he was black. Cuz Zimmerman is a WHITE hispanic (and disregard that black grandmother of his). Just ask attorney Crump, and the rest of the racial grievance industry.

BTW, ran across this today. http://theconservativetreehouse.com/201 ... benjamins/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When GZ gets acquitted, he should immediately and publicly apply to the Florida Crimes Compensation Trust Fund.

I ran across that same information about the witness. I thought at first the purpose of introducing her was so she could testify that GZ wasn't racist. But then they just went into the voice recognition stuff, and I was too blinded by the trees to see the forest. :clapping:

Guess what, court was still in session until a few minutes ago. Judge Nelson apparently providing yet another hook for reversing on appeal any conviction:

That judge is a disgrace! If he's not acquitted, he will definitely get a mistrial declaration on appeal.

This trial is getting old. I want to know the end result. I am sure Zimmerman does as well.

The self defense expert is really tying all of the loose ends up for the defense. He's got a great presence on the stand as well.

I just looked at the legal insurrection link....and clearly that is no judge, but comedian Chris Farely brought back to life. No wonder the bench is ruling the way it is.

We offer the Wally Walk as a requirement for forum members who get their new CHLs.

We need an initiation / hazing for forum members who are in the "waiting room" (packet submitted, state is processing application, plastic not in hand). I propose that they be directed to this thread and asked to read it in its entirety to pass the time.

BREAKING NEWS (probably deserving of its own thread):
http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2013/07/10/ne ... -protests/
Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained documents proving that the Department of Justice played a major behind-the-scenes role in organizing protests against George Zimmerman. Zimmerman is on trial for second-degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in February 2012.
(CRS = DOJ unit called the Community Relations Service)
March 25 – 27, 2012, CRS spent $674.14 upon being “deployed to Sanford, FL to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.”

March 25 – 28, 2012, CRS spent $1,142.84 “in Sanford, FL to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.”

March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent $892.55 in Sanford, FL “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida.”

March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent an additional $751.60 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.”

April 3 – 12, 2012, CRS spent $1,307.40 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations planned in Sanford.”

April 11-12, 2012, CRS spent $552.35 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance for the preparation of possible marches and rallies related to the fatal shooting of a 17 year old African American male.” – expenses for employees to travel, eat, sleep?

The defense rests. Zimmerman did not testify. Prosecution calling rebuttal witnesses. . . starting with gym owner.
