I don't know who is worse, the robber or the idiots that pay $180 for a pair of sneakers.

All of the above.
Armed not dangerous but potentially lethal.

It was ruled a self defense shooting and the cwp holder is still in line waiting to buy his shoes?

I'm happy that he could legally protect himself and others but it seems pretty caloused and cold hearted that, I just shot someone to death and, oh well, I'll keep waiting in line for my $180 shoes.

So people line up for highway robbery, then when a young entrepreneur comes up and wants to get jump on the competition he gets shot and killed, and the cops don’t do anything to the would be willing assailant. Sad day.

I look at it as someone attempting a robbery while another robbery was already taking place. :evil2:

The guy who defended himself remains in line to buy the shoes.... only asking the reporter not to identify him. That's incredible composure!! (not to mention I'm stunned that he was at least taken "downtown" for a statement. )

I am sure that some of those people were on a shoe forum somewhere mocking members of the firearm community for waiting in line for the store to open so that they could buy their 3 boxes of overpriced 9mm.

But if I'm standing in line to be robbed by Cheaper Than Dirt, I doubt the entrepreneurs would feel inclined to attempt armed robbery. Well, at least not the entrepreneurs with half a functioning brain cell. I have heard of attempted gun store robberies, but I never recall hearing of it ending well for the would be robber.

FWIW, people can spend their money any way they want (note; their money, not my money). I bet some people scratch their heads when I plop down money for my hobbies.

When I plop down money for my hobbies, my wife wants to scratch my head, but with her fist. Woodworking, reloading, guns, biking, amateur radio . . . its a miracle the kids have food on the table.

Heh. Mine are woodworking, guns, canning, cheese making, and cooking. But at least my wife enjoys the fruits of my hobbies. She likes shooting & carries every day. I've made half the furniture in my house, we always have a fresh supply canned goods, and our meals are out of this world. :cheers2:

There is a video of the shooting here:

How to say this delicately...would the reporting be the same with a different shooter?
