I'll go, I have a box of clays I can bring & I'll bring my remington. Potluck sounds good although I wonder what might be needed?

Will, that is great. The_Busy_Mom will start a thread in a week or so to start gathering all the potluck stuff that is needed.

Sounds good, the clays will be available for whoever wants to shoot skeet. I don't have a thrower though...

They also serve as nice little hors d'oeuvres plates before shooting them.

Don't bring your clays. Elm Fork provides them as well as the throwers.

OK folks I just got a call from Sam the pistol range manager.

We are a go for April 6 and can BBQ at the pavilion. We cannot be a “closed” group at the pavilion but I figure the more the merrier anyway.

ALL BBQ GRILLS MUST LEAVE WITH THEIR COALS IN THEM!!!
So if you don’t have a truck don’t bring a grill. Cuz ya can’t dump the coals. Also think about how you’re going to secure your grill top if you use coals. I recommend propane grills if ya got em. If you use coals please make sure you let them cool before traveling.
I’ll be posting the range rules as soon as Sam takes a picture of them and sends it to me.

All rifle ammo on the 100 yard range must not be FMJ. 50 yard range FMJ is OK.

Ammo is sold there TO BE FIRED THERE! No buying ammo to go home. For some reason they ask for mags to be loaded only to 10 rounds. All other standard range rules apply. But please check back here for a complete listing.

I’ll keep this thread updated as more info comes in.

The only grill I have is an XL Big Green Egg. It's not very portable, so I won't be bringing a grill. I can bring meat to be grilled if someone will do that for me or I can fix up some other peripheral item. I'm good at making pinwheels, tortillas with cream cheese, a green onion, and ham rolled up and sliced into bite size pieces with salsa for dipping. Otherwise I was just thinking about bringing subway sandwiches for my daughter an me.

BIL seemed interested in coming, but couldn't commit just yet.

T_B_M will work up a Pot Luck thread.

We will probably end up smoking a brisket or a turnkey. Since we got off on talking about Bacon and Sriracha on another thread, you better count on me bringing related items. :cheers2:

Brisket / Turkey
Bacon wrapped stuffed Jalapeno
Sriracha Dipping Sauces

Sounds yummy. You can even add Sriracha to some of the cream cheese to make em spicy. :biggrinjester:

Please don't do that. You guys can hang and eat with us while we are talking about shotguns.

Had to look up Sriracha sauce. I think I'll just make the pinwheels straight up and let people put the sauce on if they want. I'll wait for the thread, but I guess I'm in for a bunch of pinwheels.

Can't somebody bring some wild pig? Surely we've got a shooter who can bag a feral hog or two by then?

I may be hog hunting out west in several weeks but that is no promise I will come home with anything. That's why I am shopping for a new scope for my Sig 716 308.

The range closes at 6pm.

No, you may bring your own ammo. If you want to shoot on the 100 yrd rifle line, you cannot use FMJ. They have ammo at the place to buy if you would like.

Sam mentioned they do not have a lot of rifle ammo for the 100 yard line. I'm having a hard time finding .308
