Westboro Baptist will be in attendance.

The Patriot Guard has been asked to ride to counter those......I can't really say what I want to call them on this forum.

I am about to head that way. Anyone know if it will be posted as a "no weapons" event?

They said no purses, bags cameras, so I am guessing they will have metal detectors too as security is supposed to be tight. Will be interesting to hear how it was handled.

I just watched the service and it was very well done and heart rending.

I served as a Navy chaplain for several years and part of my reserve battalion was in Fallujah while his team had overwatch (2004 Phantom Fury). They had heard about him. When I deployed in 2006 he was in Ramadi. I had breakfast with a couple SEALS just before I got on a helicopter to visit my kids in Ramadi. It was a nasty place then. They assured me that things would be just fine as they had the best sniper, in history, in the city. In hindsight I know they were talking about Chief Kyle.

Rest in Peace Chief, and thanks.

They had security at the entrance wanding everyone. I saw that and went back to my car to disarm.

Channel 5 in the DFW area (NBC) said after the memorial service that they would cover the motorcade from Midlothian to Austin tomorrow morning for his interment. Have a friend in the Patriot Guard whose group will escort the procession.

It was a very moving memorial, and I could not believe Chris' wife had such strength at the end to give her heartfelt tribute to her husband. I didn't know much about this hero until today, other than his "fame," but I now know what a great husband, father, friend, Texan, and American he was. RIP Chris Kyle. This old vet salutes you. :txflag: :patriot:

Just finished reading his book. Good read. He and his family made tremendous sacrifices for this country. My prayers and heart go out to them!

I expected that the President could not be bothered to attend the funeral of a military hero, but why was there no attendance by either Governor Perry or Lt. Governor Dewhurst? I found that to be disappointing. Surely Chris Kyle deserved more respect from the leaders of our state and nation. Sarah Palin and her husband attended. Chris Kyle's wife gave one of the most moving tributes I have ever heard. The loss and love written on her face tells me more about Chris Kyle than anything else. A good man. A good father. A good husband. A man to look up to and trust. My he rest in peace. We will not forget what he achieved in life for his country, his family, and so many others.

The Obamination could take the time to send a condolence letter to the funeral of rapper "Heavy D", where it could be read at the funeral by none other than "Rev." Al Sharpton.

The Obamination also chose to give a shout out to a Dr. Joe Medicine Crow at a Tribal Nations conference before he addressed the shootings at Ft. Hood.

It was also a priority for the Obamination to ensure his message was sent to that skank, drug-addict funeral . . . . . Whitney Houston.

No surprise that the Obamination couldn't be bothered to acknowledge a military hero's funeral. He is the most racist President in history. Is there a doubt in anyone's mind that the Obamination's response would have been different had Mr. Kyle been black?

I just don't think it's a black thing. Why has the Ft Hood shooter not been tried? How about the terrorist in NY?
Have you noticed Obama is ensuring he never does much that might upset Muslims? Notice Obama mentioned the names of the men that got Bin Ladden, most are dead now.

I believe it's a Muslim thing. Obama is a narcissist. He sees himself as leader of the world. In order to get a high position in the UN he'll need Muslin UN votes. After this term iin office his next stop will be the UN.
