Re: Dishonorable Disclosures....
For 22 years, both OPSEC and COMSEC were part of my daily life. If I had spoken about the tiniest part of it, I would have probably been executed as a traitor.
Even my wife had any idea what I knew.
Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. - John Adams

I don't get it. Are they describing a commercial they are going to run? If so, that commercial sounds like it is supporting Obama and not the idea that politicians should keep quiet. What To Expect
Sometime in the near future, probably not long after September 11th, you can expect to see something like the following political commercial appear on your television set:
September 1, 2012, 1915 Hours, CNN, paid political advertising.
Obama for President: (NOTIONAL DRAFT)
VIDEO:
President Obama walking to podium
WH, news footage, May 1, 2011.
Split Screen, POTUS speaking in East Room
Headlines re death of Bin Laden
Collage of Americana shots
Collage of Military shots. POTUS with
Military
POTUS working at desk
Collage of military
President walking off Air Force One
White screen. Blue Font CG: President Barack Obama AUDIO:
POTUS: "I am here tonight to announce that United States military forces launched an operation that has killed Osama Bin Laden"
Announcer: When the President announced the Killing of Osama Bin Laden, we knew could all rest easier.
America is safer today because of the brave men and women of our military forces.
And because President Obama, in the ultimate test of leadership, made the bold and courageous decision to make sure justice was served to one of America's greatest enemies.
Tonight, America is safer. But the fight against terrorism is not done, and President Obama needs your help to finish this fight.
Tough times call for tough leadership. President Barack Obama.
Re: Dishonorable Disclosures....
I don't think I was ever in quite as dire of straits regarding disclosures as you describe, but I did since a couple of NDAs (non-disclosure agreements). And they pretty much spell out the stuff that can happen to you if you do "spill the beans". I've got a small handful of stories that will NOT be getting told due to those NDAs I signed...Pawpaw wrote:

Re: Dishonorable Disclosures....
I believe that they are saying this is the sort of thing the current administration is going to put out to help them win re-election, and that more information will be spilled out to back up said commercials...IMHO, of course.Thomas wrote:On their website: http://www.dishonorabledisclosure.com/expect.htmlI don't get it.
