You can't own a cat--they just let you stick around

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

I have two, and evil doesn't even begin to describe their personalities.
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

I was going to say much the same thing. People don't own cats, cats own people.jocat54 wrote:You can't own a cat--they just let you stick around

No, Mr. Bond. The cat is in charge.

I've been adopted by three of them at the current time. I haven't slept well in years.

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff...and we are very happy that Miss BOO chose us to be her staff.

Simon knows cats.

(I did this post with one hand because my youngest cat, "Thug," is sleeping on my chest as i sit in front of the 'puter. It is the only way he will let me hold him for more than 5 seconds, and of course he demands that I hold him for his nap.)

Our cat is deaf. Atleast we think she is.

Re: Anybody own a cat?
One time I was scratching a cat's back. Not my cat, (I refuse to be owned by one) but it looked like a housecat and it had a collar of some kind. Looked clean and plump. So I'm scratching its back and the cat's loving the heck out of it, doing contortions to get just the right scratch angle and all that. And then, out of the blue, it turns around and bites my hand! WHY!?
