Put up the tree, etc., today. I hate that job. Too much work for not enough return. And then you have to take it all down in a month. Bah-Humbug!

"... not enough return..." - try not putting the tree up until Dec 23. That's what my folks did the entire time I was growing up. And they always took it down New Year's Day. So just over a week. I grant you, Mom, and sis and I as we got older, put up all the other decorations on Black Friday. But no tree until two days before Christmas.
