We need a little smiley on a bike emoticon.....(armed, of course...)
I've enjoyed that St Jo, Muenster ride before. I guess you did the loop N of St Jo? I like seeing all the wind turbines. Huge things.
Eat German food in Muenster etc. We start at the Justin 405 exit off I-35. Hit Justin and take back roads to Decatur, through the
grasslands and N. Nice day trip.

We're trying to make it south when the bluebonnets start popping out. Marble Falls, Bandera area etc. Everything is still kind of brown.
Make it a 2 or 3 day weekend ride.

Also, I'd try to attend a forum ride. Day ride, or just a Ride to Eat, Eat to Ride type of thing. Fish Camp in Royce City, Shed in Edom or
other? Somebody throw out a few ideas and lets see if it happens.

I'll con future stepdad (w 2 harleys) into it. Sounds fun.

Since we have riders all over the state, maybe we need to find a "central" location to meet.
Start throwing out ideas on possible places to meet up/or ride to eat. Maybe have a north Tx meet-up, say
folks from Austin and North. Maybe a south meet-up, folks below Austin. Or maybe some other
way to divide the state? Maybe we need to divide the state into N, E, S, W zones so no one is
having to travel a long distance, making it more "doable" for more folks?

I'll start with a few within 100-150 mile range of the DFW area:
Big Slicks in West Minister (I think the name has been changed but I still call it Big Slicks)- hole in the wall biker bar, but good burgers etc.
Loco Coyote just west of Glen Rose - crummy looking shack out in the country, food is awesome, enormous portions, biker friendly
The Shed in Edom (east Tx)- nice place to eat, pretty much everything is tasty, biker friendly
Hard 8 BBQ in Stephenville or Coppell (Coppell location is not as good)- sometimes it's good, never great.
Mary's in Strawn, Tx (off I-20, south of Possum Kingdom)- huge chicken fried steak, big portions, great food, not so great decor, biker friendly
The Center Restaurant in Muenster, Tx. (German Food, good stuff)- family restaurant, good food, excellent strudel, biker friendly

No 51% or 30.06 in any of the above listed.

I ordered the large size onion rings at Loco Coyote, and the saddle bags on my bike weren't big enough to carry the leftovers home......

I know I brought up the subject of the ride, and would really like to go, but my school/work schedule is killing me right now. 15 semester hours, plus work, and the wife working 10-12 hours a day. Ya'll get something set up and I'll see if the better half and I can fit it in somehow. Would really like to participate. Having my boys every other weekend makes it busy as well.....

Nothing better than a clear spring day with a couple of hundred miles of open road.........

Gemini, those are all great places. I'd meet you guys at any of them, but will cast a vote for the Loco Coyote. I'd have time to smoke a large cigar between ordering and receiving my burger. lol

Nice. What color blue is that? Maybe it's the pic, but, I don't recall having seen it before.
