Is Cheaper than Dirt opening a location in McKinney?

#1

Post by rthillusa »

It must be true. I drove by the place three times to be sure I was not imagining it. At 380 and 75, in the old Pied Piper Pizza parlor. Sign is up but looks like the remodeling has a long way to go.

Finally some good news I can use!

Yes, they are opening a McKinney location. Their guys told me that when they held their job fair at the Fort Worth gun show a few months ago. They don't actually own the current store. They used to, but when they made the decision to become a strictly (at that time) catalog business, they sold the store to the manager at the time. Part of that sale apparently included a contractual obligation to the buyer on the part of CTD not to open any future CTD stores within a 50 mile radius of the existing Fort Worth store. The McKinney location is just outside that 50 mile radius.

If I remember correctly, they are actually opening 5 new stores, although I can't remember the other locations.

All I can say is.......... :anamatedbanana

I'm excited! I spend a LOT of money with CTD through their website, and now I will have another shopping option for ammo and supplies. I try to support the McKinney Gun and Knife Supply company (also in that general area, on the other side of 75) but their store is small and stock is limited. I would MUCH rather support a store like CTD than a big chain like Academy or Walmart.

I live literally a mile away from the new location...I can't wait until they open!

My understanding is that the online store and the physical brick and mortar stores are two different businesses.
I believe there is safety in numbers..
numbers like: 9, .22, .38, .357, .45, .223, 5.56, 7.62, 6.5, .30-06...

I think they are serious, but lets take a look at the statistical side of the issue shall we. There are 21 anti's who are fans of the page, in a city with an estimated population of 127,671. So statistically speaking they make up 0.016% of the population, thats kinda funny.

Just read the McKinney's city official response referring to the big boxes I mentioned and other stand alone gun storein the city. Going against this new place is silly.

They're all women too, from what I can see. I'm almost tempted to "Like" the page just so I can make fun of them and write pro-gun stuff on their Wall.
