I drool over muscle cars, but I guess I love 4x4's more. If I have to pick, I would rather go slow off-road than go fast on the road. But I do like the go fast bikes. I have a Ducati ST4 that I have tricked out about as much as possible. It is a fast as a "touring" bike is gonna get. It definitely puts a  on me.

Yup! I haven't autocrossed in over a year, though. I'm preparing to sell the Miata and get a Point A to Point B car until I buy a house, then I'll get something fun again.

I was president of ER in 1993.

I think it's been about 4 years for me, but I'm thinking about rejoining the fray.

For you autosports types, one of my dad's best friends (they serve on a board of directors together for a software company) is with the group starting up the America's first F-1 team. Check out http://www.USF1.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You know what this means for me? Pit access to any event :) Yes please.

I was thinking about joining SCCA for some track days. I'm gonna wait until I get this dang ring paid for (some big things coming soon I hope)

Car guys in Texas ought to check out the Big Bend Open Road Race. The next one is coming up in April.
They close down US 285 between Fort Stockton and Sanderson, and then run some serious hardware down and back. The cars range from basic sedans through classic musclecars and exotics to retired NASCAR stockers. Target speeds range from 85 MPH to over 150 MPH. The Unlimited class cars hit over 200 MPH on the straights.
Loads of fun!

The Texas Mile is another fun event. Its a 1 mile drag race. A friend of mine set a record in a Dodge Magnum a couple of years ago - a hair over 160 MPH. Thats a fast station wagon.

Then volunteer to work it - the best way to see it is camped out on the course as a gate guard.

A West Texas highway.
Classic rock on the radio.
Brats on the grill.
Fast cars doing what they were meant to do ...

Life is good!

One more pic, just for this crowd (Note the sign.):

I just got a 2010 MazdaSpeed 3. Not a muscle car, obviously, but it's one hot little hatchback.

263hp, Turbo-charged 4 cylinder, 6-speed manual tranny, 18" Yokos.

This thing seriously hauls.

"Sweet! So what is that in your avatar?"

Haha, that's a small "car" I saw while I was living in Italy last year. I have no idea what it actually was, but I wanted to bring it back with me.

Not hugely into modding cars yet, (03 Suburban 1500...Contemplating dropping some 'small' stuff in like longtubes/highflow cats and a new intake and exhaust but the eventual goal is a Chevy 502 BB - Better start saving!! ) but I do know a buddy with an extremely slick '08 Z06 and have another that's working on tricking out his '94 C4 LT1 'Vette. Apparently there's also a Ford GT regularly appearing at my sister's school
