Chief of Naval Operations is recommending to Defense Secretary Esper that Captain Crozier be re-instated as the commanding officer of the Roosevelt:

Adm. Mike Gilday, the Chief of Naval Operations, went into the meeting with Esper on Friday recommending that Crozier should be reinstated to the command he lost a few weeks ago, a U.S. official told ABC News.

Warship in USS Theodore Roosevelt strike group has coronavirus outbreak.
Another U.S. warship at sea has a coronavirus outbreak on board with at least 18 cases among the crew, the Navy announced Friday.

USS Kidd, a guided-missile destroyer, is currently in the eastern Pacific near South America. One American sailor has been medevaced off the ship. There are other positive cases on board, chief Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman told reporters at a press conference Friday morning.

The Navy later said in a statement the sailor assigned to USS Kidd (DDG-100) who tested positive was flown to a hospital in San Antonio, Texas on Thursday.

I agree. He should be demoted and/or court martialed instead.

I think this means [at a minimum] that there was a breakdown above him in the CoC... I'm quite certain that you, me and every reporter writing what we're reading is missing significant detailed info about the story.
