I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Re: DFW North/NorthEast Quadrant Breakfast
I will be there. I attended the NRA Self Defense event this past weekend at the Funkytown Fort Worth Civic Center.
It was very informative, but my one complaint is that they keep that place like an icebox. I swear it was 60 or 65 degrees in there. I had goosebumps most of the time.
September 1-2 was the Lewisville Gun Show. I was looking over the pistols at one table, not asking about any of them. The vendor said to me "I don't do background checks." I didn't beef with him, but he had no idea whether I was legal or just out of the pen. I'm not happy that there are vendors like him.

Planning on going to DPC PPM match here with another, the Frisco meal would be great just don't wish the 4 hr drive total. Why not meet at DPC match? Afterwards go eat? Weather should be good hopefully then.GeekwithaGun wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:59 am Anyone interested in trying to get something scheduled or October in the North DFW area?

I would not be either and just walked away, totally agreed the NRA SD event was a tad cool for sure, all were very friendly++ and did learn a few things did get to shoot a nice 1911 but the RO did have an attitude for sure. Re: DFW North/NorthEast Quadrant Breakfast
He always enjoys coming. The question will be, if he has other commitments. Sometimes it's work related, sometimes it's honey-do list. But I always ask him if he's interested in coming. I actually reminded him about it a couple days ago. I'll remind him again on friday afternoon.surprise_i'm_armed wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 7:27 pm I will be there. Re: DFW North/NorthEast Quadrant Breakfast
Saturday's turnout was : flightmare, labrat1001001, skullcop, strogg, and myself.
Among other things we discussed the new subcompact 9's: P365, Springfield Armory Hellcat, and the recently introduced Smith <model name I forgot>.
Also, the questionable Florida case where a 7-11 type manager brandished a Glock, which jammed, then got his AK-47, and sprayed his parking lot at a guy who did not have a gun, but was throwing trash cans around. It seems to me that those rounds didn't need to leave his guns. YMMV.
AndyC: Your intentions did not become reality. We accept your apology sir. :-)

Reminder to all: This Saturday 8AM is the Frisco breakfast at Rudy's. I will be braving the cold forecast to attend.
