He was only 40 when he died in 1969 from a cerebral hemorrhage; the same thing that killed my mom at age 48 just over a year earlier. Here is a link to several of his songs: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... y+Hamilton

Beginning of that the voice reminded me a bit of Elvis. Then while listening I was reading about the song and found it was also recorded by Elvis.

Great voice, good soul.

I just ran across this one this morning, and it’s one of the most hauntingly beautiful things I’ve heard all year long:

“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”

― G. Michael Hopf, "Those Who Remain"

In all likelihood, I'm only days away from losing a woman who has been like a second mother to me for 57 years. As I get older, the wisdom embodied in the lyrics of this song becomes ever clearer.

This is one I play for myself a lot.

As my Mother's body fails her and her soul cries out to the Lord to be taken home, this song speaks to me this morning.

I have posted a couple of her songs her. It must have been magical to see and hear her sing in person. :thumbs2:
