Rotor,

Praise, not flame from me.

'The' most popular refrain hangers on to FB is 'ah, well, ya know, I'm keeping FB because that's how I keep up with my family.

That is weak.

If you count yourself as a Conservative, drop FB. Like Rotor advised, they're are many alternatives than to use leftist FB to stay in touch with loved ones. Sheesh...!

My ability to advertise, keep up with family will blow away without FB.

Honest!

Get real.

There are a great many alternatives that won't put money into FB coffers.

Sadly, complacency is a way of life for many, which is a fancy way of saying: You're lazy!

No, I didn't want to ... fill in the blank (like join the commie party or some other group) but, it was my only way to survive, so please don't judge me. I had to join, honest...

Uh-huh...

Do you know the story about the penny doubled every day for 30 days. Change that to a person every day double for 30 days. If that would happen, one person on day one, 2 on day 2, 4 on day 3, etc. That would be 536,870,912 people would drop FB in 30 days. Or, if it were a penny you would have $5,368,709.12. Tell me if the math is wrong.

Rotor,

Of course you're math is spot on, but those who resist are weak.

Why, I know FB is leftist, but I have to stay with it because...I'm a weakling.

I'm hopelessly hooked and need to join some 12 step program to rid myself of FB.

Here's a start, quit worrying and using FB.

Pretty simple.

FB needs to die.

Fewer users, quicker death to a leftist monster.

I see facebook as a tool, just as I'm sure many others do. The people who are running the company may lean liberal, but that does not mean the tool cannot be utilized for things we support. Some people have said they use the site to argue against antis. While the die-hard antis may not have their minds changed, there are those who sit on the fence that may be convinced that being rabid anti-gun is not for them. These are the people we want to reach.

There are some who use facebook for work. My church uses it to reach out to people in the neighborhood, as well as providing social media access for prayer requests. I also use it to keep up to date on local weather as to when the National Weather Service is activating storm spotters in my area. It is a tool.

And yes, many of us here use it to keep up with family. Photos, videos, and messages are all easier to see on social media. Yes, you can do a phone call, or a video call. What if you are unable to reach that particular family member at that time to share a live video? I've been able to watch videos of my sister and her family in Seattle that I would otherwise have missed because of facebook. My point is, social media (and more specifically facebook) is a tool.

Maybe social media isn't for you, and that's fine. I believe all of us here know that the people who run facebook are left leaning and mostly anti-2a. Just like the choice we each make to open carry vs conceal carry; I won't shame a person for their choice, even if my personal choice is to do something different.

"rlol" I would certainly enjoy viewing that! I've had a few interesting discourses on FB myself. One thing I've noticed about my adversaries, they almost always resort to insults, name calling and derisiveness when confronted with facts they are unable to refute. I always keep it polite and factual.
It melts the snow off their flakes fastest when I point out their logical fallacies - the ad hominems, non sequiturs, false dichotomies, etc. I love it :evil2:

I keep a document ready with handy quotes eg. from Heller that I can slap them with

"Well-regulated militia!" they squeal.
Copy/paste: "The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia" - US Supreme Court, DC v Heller 2008. Now ask me what "well regulated means.""

Boom with zero sweat.
For those that still have a facebook account, if you are not following Andy, you are really missing out on some good stuff. His takedowns and comebacks are EPIC in regards to some of the idiocy we see online from snowflakes. I try to help out from time to time by posting stuff, but Andy is just killing it.

Flightmare,

I understand entrenchment, but announcements could be made for other means of communication.

It's not FB or nothing....

Times change.

Since I've learned of how pernicious FB, I wouldn't use them if I got royalties.

Use a known evil, because it happens to be convenient?

Not me...

Why are you supporting the leftist Yahoo?

One should work on their own shortcomings before worrying about those of others? It appears someone is using a "known evil because it is convenient".

FB may be a tool but everything you do on FB is making them money to deprive you of your rights. Just like shopping in a store with a 30.06 when you could have gone elsewhere to shop. That photo on FB is loaded with gps info on where and when it was taken. There is no limit on what they know about you and yours from your account. It wouldn't be so bad if they cared about the constitution but they don't. You are helping the devil. Next you may want to subscribe to Bloomberg News. Just my opinion.

You should get back on FB and be obstinate with people who don’t share your views rather taking out your anger on us who aren’t meeting your expectations for our lives.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Many or most accounts on Twitter are fake.
Almost all personal accounts on Facebook are real.
Facebook makes money.

It makes me feel a lot better that they're not going to get away with lies unchallenged; I'm not ceding that ground to them, and I'm going to make it sting. I don't care about changing THEIR minds - I'm reaching the larger audience.
Andy; I'd like to follow you on FB if you'd be willing to share info or pm me...sounds like fun!!!!
