Not watching the Superbowl
I can see the commercials later as they are always rebroadcast or on YouTube.
No way am I giving that organization any of my time.
How about everyone else?
Am I alone?

Not watching! I was appalled that the NFL let's players make political statements but then denied a Veteran group's public service announcement because it was "political". They hypocrisy of the NFL is indefensible. At the rate the NFL is going, NFL will stand for "Not For Long"

Not watching, the NFL turning down the Veterans Group PSA about standing for the national anthem was the last straw

I'll be watching and hoping for a good game. Not letting some knuckleheads diminish my enjoyment of the game.

Re: Not watching the Superbowl
How am I only hearing about this now??? Wow this really boils my blood. No words describe how awful that is on so many levels. I wasn't much of a pro football fan to begin with, but now for sure I am never going to be one unless the league leadership turns around.
I think I'm going to join apostate (in spirit, since i'm 4 hours away) at the range on Sunday afternoon. It'll be a much better use of my time.

Re: Not watching the Superbowl
You are not alone. I haven't watched a game all year. Not only that, there has been absolutely not talk of NFL games anywhere around the plant. I haven't even heard the words Super Bowl mentioned this week. I think that denying the ad from AMVETS was the last straw among my peer group. 32 billionaires will hopefully soon feel some pain in their pocket book.philip964 wrote:I can see the commercials later as they are always rebroadcast or on YouTube.

NFL can burn in, well you know where. No interest anymore. I have enjoyed my Sunday afternoons with the wife doing other things so much more than watching these clowns.
Slowly, professional sports has alienated me from watching/caring about them. Used to watch NFL, NBA, MLB, Nascar - now down to watching MLB games but don't matter if I miss a game. Real life family and friends has become the priority in my life, followed by guns and ammo!

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Re: Not watching the Superbowl
Haven't watched a game in a couple of years and won't be watching now. Saying no to veterans for their ad drove another nail into the NFL No Football Left coffin. Can't wait for the NFL to cease to exist. Shame on anyone who watches a game from this point forward.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

What is this NFL and Supper Bowl of which you speak?
