Charles pulled the switch at 19:42 on December 22, 2004. He expected there might, might be 200 people who would join the Forum.

Now--over 18,500 members, almost 82,000 Topics, and over 1.1 million posts later--here we are.

The Forum birthday almost came and went without me noticing it! Thanks for the post Skiprr.

Thanks also to our Members and Moderators who have made the Forum such a great resource. Over the last dozen years, we grown, lost Forum Family Members and their loved ones. We've welcomed Members' kids and grandchildren. We began with George Bush as President, survived Obama and are now looking forward to Trump and a pro-gun U.S. Supreme Court.

A lot happened and a lot changed over 12 years. If I'm around for another dozen years, I hope we look back on the Obama years like a bad dream from which we awakened.

God bless you folks and Merry Christmas.

Amen! I know that my anniversary date of Jan 16, 2008 is just over 3 weeks away. I'll have been a member for 9 years. This forum has been a big part of my life since joining, and I'm so grateful that Charles provided this place for our use. May it live long and prosper!
