Poll: Do You Plan to Vote?
I posted a voter registration reminder in the "General Announcements" area (http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic. ... 21&t=86210), and in it I noted my belief--after being on the Forum for a decade--that our members tend to vote more regularly than the average citizen.
Occurs to me, though, that I really don't know. So let's test the waters. This isn't about who you plan to vote for, only if you plan to vote in the 2016 general election. The poll stays open all the way through election day.

Re: Poll: Do You Plan to Vote?
Haven't missed a national election vote since 1979, when I turned 18. Don't plan to start now. I think I have only missed one local vote when I moved back in the early 80's and forgot to register in Tarrant County.

so, I voted in the primary, and the election 4 years ago. Am I good to go? or do you have to keep registering?

Re: Poll: Do You Plan to Vote?
As I said on another thread, my parents would disown me if I did not vote. I also do my best to encourage (sometimes harass) friends to vote early, if for no other reason but to avoid the lines on election day.

Trey: If nothing changes regarding your circumstances--address, county of residence, legal name, etc.--you should automatically receive a new voter registration card every two years in most counties.TreyHouston wrote:so, I voted in the primary, and the election 4 years ago. Re: Poll: Do You Plan to Vote?
The only time I don't vote is in small local elections where both sides are equally bad. I also don't (usually) try to get out of jury duty. I'm funny that way in that I take the "3 Boxes of Liberty" seriously. Plus, jury duty has been a good excuse to take a vacation from work.

Re: Poll: Do You Plan to Vote?
Absolutely will vote. Future of the Supreme Court and the direction of this nation is at stake. We may not be excited about some of the choices, but the a;lternative is too bad to consider anything else. In addition to the Presidential race, we need to look at all the state and local races. latest issue of American Rifleman had all of their endorsements. 99.9% of the time I will go with the NRA endorsement.

I look forward to voting against the harpy, I voted for Reagan when I was 18, I have the same feeling for Trump and can't wait to cast my ballot!

Re: Poll: Do You Plan to Vote?
I'm voting local only. We need to keep congress. I will not vote Trump or Hillary. So if I'm voting at all in the general election its for Johnson. But even he is a lesser of evil because I supported Austin Petersen.
