And also this is one of my favorites. I think Robert Earl Keen did a masterful job at putting the listener in that mental place we've all been at on rare occasions, where everything just feels right and perfect, and it's almost contagious with those around us.

Thank you, Charles. I hadn't heard that one before, and have forwarded it to another who could very much use it right now.Charles L. Cotton wrote:What a powerful song for believers who have lost loved ones who are also believers.

I'm glad you liked it. In my opinion Johnny Bush was one of the greatest of all time. He lost his voice in his prime.WildBill wrote:Great song! Thanks for the post. I didn't know, but Marty Robbins wrote this song.OlBill wrote:Johnny Bush - This Time You Gave Me a Mountain.
I also like Just Breath.
Annoyed Man, when I lived in San Antonio in the mid 80s, there was a guy practiced bag pipes down the road in a partially built shopping center late at night. I could stand on my balcony and hear him playing Amazing Grace at just the right volume. Beautiful.

REK is one of my favorites, this song reminds me about a lot of great things in Texas. He and Lyle Lovett wrote it.

So, I went back to check an early post on this this thread and found that all my video links had died a horrible death! I set to editing to bring them back and made an existential discovery! I'm not nearly as witty or erudite as I think I am after having a wee dram or two. Needless to say editing took a while, finished up about 0550.

Bobby Vee [born Robert Velline] passed away yesterday at the age of 73 years old. RIP
The first 45 RPM record I ever bought was his single "Rubber Ball"
