How Conservative/Liberal is Your First Name?

Post by Skiprr »

Apropos of nothing--and questionable at best--but still a bit of fun. Crowdpac purports to tell you where your first name falls on a liberal/conservative scale:

https://www.crowdpac.com/games/how-libe ... -your-name

They supposedly use data from the average of all campaign contributions made by persons of the same name since 1980; 10L is the most liberal, and 10C is the most conservative. I probably would not have posted this if I'd fallen on the wrong side of the road. ;-)

I'm an 8.1C; there are six more conservative names, and 1,118 more liberal names in their files. People with my first name are five times more likely to contribute to a political campaign than the average citizen.

5.1 98 more names than mine. How the name Curry(first name) is even on the list baffles me.

Hmmm, well mine is at 4.1 C, my son's is slightly higher at 4.2.

My wife's is at 3.7 L and my daughter's is maxed Lib...

I'm going to go with the whole "What's in a name" thing here because none of those seem to fit any of us.
