I thought maybe the OC was dual purpose; to fend off the aggressor and to spray on your BBQ if it wasn't spicy enough for ya! :thumbs2:

As I'm quite fond of the spice, and in extra strength... I might just have to try that some day and see if I like it.

I may try to attend! My first baby is due about two weeks prior, so I'll have to play it by ear but if it's feasible, I'll make it!

Well things have changed for me. I originally posted that I probably won't be able to make it. Know that I'm my own boss, I think I can. Put me down for 2, possible 3 attendees.

Aside from ammunition costs, are there any other associated fees for admission, range use, or the clinics?

Chas,

Definitely interested in attending, probably my wife and I (2 people). I took the CHL course with Elgato per your recommendation. Very nice guy and thorough instructor, just as you said. He told me all about the festivities the last couple years at PSC. Looking forward to the event with anticipation. Thanks!

Regards,
J

I've been away too long. I'll be attending with Chopped Liver (a.k.a. Mrs. GlockenHammer). This is too worthwhile of an event not to volunteer for, so count me in for whatever you need.

Husband and I just mailed our CHL apps in about 2 weeks ago ... I'm brand spankin' new to the board, but this event sounds great!

Few questions if someone doesn't mind replying:
1) Do we have to have our plastic in hand in order to attend?
2) Roughly what is the cost per person? I saw something about $15, but wasn't sure if that was just for food, or what??? Just wondering if we're talking fees of $15 or $100 per person ...
3) Is it just a one-day thing?
4) What towns are close enough to get a NICE hotel room? I know, I know, a sissy thing for a gun-interested chick, but I'm somewhat of a hotel snob. It's a disease, and I can't help it. :???: Saw someone post about a Springfield Suites in Pearland - how far is that from the event?

For what it's worth, I've spent the better part of this weekend enjoying this board. :) My husband just bought me a Glock 27 yesterday and it's by far the most romantic thing he's ever done. I LOVE IT!!!! :hurry:

Welcome to the forum. Yes, it's great.
1) Do we have to have our plastic in hand in order to attend?
No.
2) Roughly what is the cost per person? I saw something about $15, but wasn't sure if that was just for food, or what??? Just wondering if we're talking fees of $15 or $100 per person ...
I don't know what the fee will be this year, but $15 covered everything last year. You have to supply your own ammo if you want to shoot. ;-)
3) Is it just a one-day thing?
Except maybe for a reception the night before.
4) What towns are close enough to get a NICE hotel room?
Friendswood and Webster.
Saw someone post about a Springfield Suites in Pearland - how far is that from the event?
Maybe 5 miles.

Thanks for the info! :)

One more q: Is there a website with all the information on it? Ideally I'm looking for a flyer or something online so I can send to my neighbors ... maybe something with times, class options, activities, etc? I understand things are probably still being planned, but there are a few folks in our neighborhood that just might be interested in driving down.

Thanks guys! I'm loving this ...

The information will be here, on this web site. Last year, the schedule was drafted in July.
