deer processing
Can any recommend a good place that you trust with fair pricing to process some deer meat in Houston? Just got my first deer a few days ago and would like some sausage.

If your looking for smoked sausage, Dorek's in Santa Fe makes some tasty links, I use them for everything except summer sausage. If your looking for summer sausage, I would recommend making the drive out to East Bernard to Vincik's, a long haul but (IMO) worth it.

We have not personally taken deer, but inlaws have. We have had two homegrown steers processed and they have done a fine job. My FIL says the deer sausage is really good. Reeds in Cleveland, Texas - mom and pop organization. Tommy Reed is the proprietor.

Pete's Fine Meat on Richmond Ave near 610. And, in Katy, there's always Midway!
