I wish Texas would come up with a "castle doctrine" simular to Florida(Allthough many of our laws are already the same), as far as preventing civil suits against people who have leagally defended thier lives with a gun.
I have heard that state Rep. Hupp will be sponsoring such a bill for Texas. If she does, be sure to contact your state senators and representatives to support and pass the bill.

Please keep us informed on if this occurs. I'll write letters, call, whatever I can do. Only thing is...I'll have to ask someone here where to start on that!!

I feel sure a Florida-style Castle Doctrine bill will be a major NRA/TSRA legislative objective in 2007. So will a employer-parking lot bill.

It would be nice to see. Rep. Hupp has done a lot for the state of Texas and hearing that she is working on this is good news.
And I hope that some sort of parking lot law is passed. As it stands I can not carry on my way back and forth to work and I go through a not so good neighborhood to get there.
