UTSW Unintelligible CHL sign

#1

Post by Bitter Clinger »

This sign was posted in parking garage entrance to bldg when I went to UTSW for annual physical today:

Image

Location:
William T. & Gay F. Solomon General Internal Medicine Clinic (Professional Office Building II)
5939 Harry Hines Blvd
Dallas TX 75235

Probably worst sign that I have seen anywhere to-date.

Did they just slap their hands on the keyboard when making that sign? Or just slam their head on the keyboard and print what came out?

Sorry Pawpaw. Not seeing same problem here. Just looked at it from another device where I am not signed in and it was fine? :headscratch

According to one site:
If a hospital is posting the V.C.S. Article 4413 (29ee) signage, does this affect me carrying as a CHL holder?

The V.C.S. (Vernon Civil Statutes) Article 4413 (29ee) refers to the entire Texas Penal Code section pertaining to CHL holders. As of 09/01/1997, the amended laws require the correct posting of the 30.06 statute in order to prohibit CHL holders from carrying in locations that are not otherwise prohibited by law or by other permitted posting (ie. the red 51% signage issued by TABC).
Sounds like you found a sign that was placed in the 1995-era and has never been updated.

You mean that at one time, this was considered to be the "correct" wording for a sign? That wording makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Looks like parts of the old sign.

It really doesn't matter. The buildings are all properly signed, and that's the only place they can make off limits anyway.

If UTSW means UT SouthWestern hospital, they are also a college and are off limits right now.

Yes, its UT Southwestern. Not sure if all of their building are considered "teaching facilities" but I have always assumed so.

We can accuse anti-gun liberals of a wide variety of things... being intelligent is not one of them.

I work for uthsct which is a sister hospital and our entire facility is considered off limits. Not sure about utsw but all our buildings but 1 are interconnected.
