CHL paperwork lost. Sent through email.
Like the title says, I submitted my paperwork through email on 9/15/13. License status always said "waiting for required materials." I called the dps chl number to ask for a status update after about 45 days and they said it was too early to give me a status update but that they received my paperwork. I called again today and they said they never received anything and that I need to submit it again. I heard about paperwork getting lost in the mail but not through email. Anybody ever heard of this?

Did you actually send an email with attachments, or did you use their website upload tool?

I sent mine through their email and I followed it up with an actual snail mail and they still haven't been able to say they have it yet!

Send it certified with a signed receipt coming back to you. That way you have positive proof that DPS got it.Javier730 wrote:I think I'm going to send by mail this time.

I emailed and faxed a copy....no problemos.
Re: CHL paperwork lost. Sent through email.
I sent my documents in on 11/5/13 via https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/contact/default.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and on 11/12/13 I received an email stating that I forgot to "upload" my documents, it seems that this is a common occurrence. The upload button is at the bottom left, you have to hit that button before you send it.
On 11/12/13 I resent my documents via the rsd and made sure to hit "upload".
On 11/18/13 i received an email stating
" Thank you for using the Regulatory Services Division’s website.
We have received the documents attached to your email. This information will be forwarded to a CHL Specialist for review and processing. For more information on CHL status changes and updates visit http://www.DPS.Texas.gov" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or go to the Status Check
link. Please allow staff sufficient time to continue processing these documents. "
I am thankful that I received a confirmation, from what I am reading it doesn't seem that everyone is receiving them. In the comments section I did put a "Thank you!", I'd like to think that is what helped.
I would resend online and double check that you are hitting the "upload" button after you browse your computer for the documents. Then hit "send". Maybe write a thank you and hopefully you will receive a confirmation as well, good luck!
