I will have to admit though as a long time promoter of .45acp, I sit here typing this with my latest competition gun turned carry. M&P 9mm C.O.R.E. with a Leupold Delta Point, slipped into a Galco King Tuk until I decide to get another Crossbreed Supertuck "Horsehide". 18 rounds of 9mm with the quickest sight I have ever used makes a deadly combination.
My little Kimber is sitting in the safe pouting.

I carry a 5.7X28 so everyone will hate me
Maybe I should start carrying a 5.56 pistol in the winter...
Also, that depiction is pretty much how I view .40 AND .45 proponents

Just carry an AR-pistol. Even if you miss on the first shot, they are sure to be blinded and deaf

The area of impact in sq. in. of 17 9mm is greater than 8 .45 plus in a situation with multiple assailants more rounds is a good thing. Deciding factor was a man I met at last weeks IDPA shoot. He was pulling a wagon and explained he had switched to .45 and the ammo was heavier.

I've seen the light, the error of my ways! No more searching for 380 ammo! No more waiting for 9mm to hit the store shelves. Just stock up for my 45!
