Avoiding Many Change of Address (Military)

When I applied for my CHL, I short sightedly used my address at base housing here in Texas. I have moved out of base housing and am staying with friends, living out of a General Mailing address and a storage unit while I attend various training TDYs around the nation this summer. In the fall I will have a Permanent Change of Station out of state followed by another PCS to New Mexico 6 months later.
I know I need to change my address with DPS. Is there any reason I shouldn't just change it to my military home of record (my dad's home in Ohio) so that I can avoid 4 changes in 8 months? I am already an out of state Texas CHL holder with and have my home of record on my Ohio driver's license. I am an Ohio resident at that address (though I may snag a Texas residence for the taxes before I leave).
Thanks in advance for your advice.
