CHL Manufacturing Question

#1

Post by Raymn_V »

Hi all CHL holders:

If my status went to Manufacturing on 5/18/2011, how many more business days should I expect it to appear as Mailed?

Thanks

Ray :thumbs2:

The average seems to be 1-2 days for most of us. The thing is that once it shows "mailed" many have had it take as long as 10 days to get to their home.

Mine stayed at manufacturing for over a week. Then when it went to shipped, I waited a month and a half and never received it. I ended up having to request a replacement because it had gotten lost in the mail.

Mine went from "background check complete" to "pending manufacturing" on 6/2
to "manufacturing" the same day on 6/2

On the morning of Friday 6/3 it showed "manufacturing". Then I checked in the evening of Friday
6/3 and it still showed "manufacturing".

I figured they do not work on weekends so I expected not to see it "mailed" until Monday or Tuesday
but today Saturday 6/4 it showed "mailed". :thewave

The morale of the story is, there is no rhyme nor reason how they do things.

I am sure that the DPS processes the license manufacturing and mailing in batches. They also probably do the same for their status database so all of the updates can lag behind the "true" status.

Congrats on the new license!

Now its time to make sure you have the proper gear if you have not done so already.

Do yourself a huge favor and make sure you have a good belt/ holster combo for what ever fiream you decide to carry.
