1st Renewal- have question about CHL-100

#1

Post by Sethco »

Im new to the forum and have tried the search and cant seem to find the answer to my question. Im sure someone will be able to search and find it in 2 sec, but I must be stupid or blind, or both.
I have my CHL-100 Certificate of Training Form and I am ready to renew online and it said I would need this form to renew, which I have, I just dont know what to do with it and do I renew and send it in or send it in then renew. I dont want to get denied for not having the paperwork in to them if it needs to be there before i renew. I have tried calling for two days to the State, but due to high call volume they cant take my call...
The only renewal info I received was a letter telling me I could renew online.

Any help would be great, and if your going to flame me for a stupid question thats fine just put the answer to the question in your post too....Thanks :txflag:

Welcome aboard.
Renew online first. When you submit the application, you will be given a checklist of items to send in. CHL-100 will be one of those items. Just gather those items and mail them with the checklist.

My 1st renewal is coming up, is the aplication the same or is it streamlined?

You're basically telling them where you live and you've no changes in your eligibility. The application is nowhere near as comprehensive as an initial app.

the process has gotten a lot quicker that it used.

The people in charge of the program have really stepped up trying to streamline the process. From what I heard last (2 weeks ago) the process is so efficent that they are processing applications within 48 hours of receiving the completed docs. Glad the program and the technology are catching up.

Be safe.
