"Legal Heat" Smart Phone App

Very cool app. Shows concealed carry info, open carry info, and transport info for all states. Great for quick reference and discussions about the varying laws form state to state.

Looks like it's only available on the iPhone. No love for us in the Android crowd! :(

It is a pity that GPS is not more accurate, such that it could tell what building you were at or about to enter. It would be neat to have an app that would buzz when you were about to go into a location where carrying is not allowed.

As an aside, I do some side-work in developing Android apps. If anyone has any ideas for useful apps (CHL related or not), please let me know. I'm always on the lookout for new ideas.

This was from a wall post on their Facebook page.

Legal Heat On it, I sent my developer an email letting him know people are getting anxious and he promised he will have it submitted shortly. We'll make it .99 to make up for the wait. I've already got the TN law change in the app as well.

I wouldn't rely on that only, though it is a good idea. Check with the issuing authority of each state to make sure the info is correct.

Now, if we ever get enough data service around here I might actually get a Smartphone. :banghead:

+1 I don't think I'll be relying on anyone's smart-phone app to guide my decisions about legality any time soon...

I hope that goes without saying. I wouldn't rely on anything that I can't print out from a State site and confirm.

Great app.

It has been updated several times since I bought it. I tried to travel safely by asking people I know/met in the state I'm in but that can be very confusing and logging onto the internet at a reststop don't work.

Amazing the amount of heresay there is around the laws. You can win a lot of "folklore" arguments with this app
