Firearm Deprivation

#1

Post by AJ80 »

I had to report for jury duty today. :smash:

I haven't been disarmed for that long in a while. :nopity

Seeing the bailiff and the two officers stationed outside the courtroom with their firearms on their hips just kept serving as a constant reminder that I could not carry mine. I felt so naked! :cryin

I'm so fortunate not to have been picked as a juror so as not to have to endure such a cruel fate any longer.

Does anyone have any remedies to the firearm deprivation trauma I've had to endure?

Maybe a walk through a crowded Wal-Mart? :headscratch

Maybe firing a few thousand rounds down range? :fire

There must be something I can do to get over this severe traumatic event.

:leaving

PS. Try not to take this post too seriously.

I'd suggest a new gun, but with how little they pay for jury duty they probably didn't even give you enough to buy a box of ammo.

Think if I go back and ask really nicely, they'll feel sorry for me and just give me a new gun?

Ask the baliff nicely if he'll give you his, then report back what his response is. We'll take up a collection from the forum for bail if necessary.

I was thinking of opening up a dialog with her about firearms during one of the breaks, but decided against it.

You mean those ceramic ones the don't set off metal detectors and cost more than some actor in a movie gets paid in a year?

What about those handgun bullets that can shoot through a bulldozer blade? Do I need those too? "rlol"

I keep pictures of my loved ones in my phone for those times I'm feeling lonely.
...oh, and the family is in there too. :evil2:

Oh that's a great idea! :hurry:
I'll start getting pictures immediately so if a time like this ever comes again, I'll be able to pull out my cell phone and stare lovingly at...
Oh wait... they want cell phones to be off inside of the courtroom. :nono:

You could take a picture of your gun and stare at it.

Be careful though, some one might accuse you of intimidation.

I feel your pain, I had jury duty yesterday as well & was similarly traumatized at leaving my pistol in the car.

I got distracted, though, when I got called to a jury panel & discovered that the civil trial in question was scheduled to run for 6 WEEKS!!!!!!

I pled my case to the judge for being excused, and he let me go - didn't even have to go through voir dire. PHEW!!!
I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal
