Texas CHL Computer Glitch

I have been waiting for my TX CHL for over 6 months. I was told a few weeks ago that it was a glitch with my application and it would be escalated to a supervisor. Today I was told that several people are having the same problem. Anyone else been told something similar? They were very vague as to what the glitch is and did not give a time estimate when I could expect it to be worked out.
If you are having an issue did you originally apply via the old website? I did, and I am thinking that is the issue.

Wow, really sorry for you! I haven't been waiting all that long, yet, so I (hopefully) don't fall into this group of applicants. My heart goes out to you.

Web site shows green checks everywhere but three areas:
Fingerprints: Under Review
Background Check: Under Review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

wow, i'm sorry to hear that. some people who applied earlier this month already show background check complete and that their license is in the mail. keep us posted on how everything turns out, there's no excuse for it taking this long.

Because most people don't know that a "Computer glitch" is 99.9% of the time code for "I was messing with something I should not have been."

I sent him an email from this forum. He did a survey in 2008 on the time it took to receive a CHL. reading that I decided to send him an email to see if he had heard of the delay I was experiencing.
He had not, but asked if he could forward my issue on to a contact of his. And less than a week later - problem solved.

I guess the system is now unglitched.
