Poll: OWB or IWB carry stats

#1

Post by LongHairedRedneck »

My thread from a few days ago has sparked my curiousity as to how many carry OWB vs. IWB. Please vote on which carry method you use the most.

Thanks,

Looks like I'm the first to vote OWB.

Come on folks, I know I'm not alone. ;-)

I carry almost exclusively OWB. Sometimes pocket carry.

I have been carrying IWB since i got my CHL. However, now i am starting to carry OWB since its more comfortable for me and i have gotten over being very paranoid about people seeing the slight bulge on the side. It is hardly noticeable and most people dont even recognize it. I will still carry IWB on certain occasions but for every day carry, i think i will stick with OWB.

Both, depending on attire. However, i voted IWB because I carry that way most often. Honestly, IWB with my CB and 3" 1911 is just as comfortable 99% of the time as OWB for me.

IWB - because it's tuckable when I need it.

Iwb most of the time 75%, bellyband 15%, OWB 10%. So I voted IWB.

90% of the time I carry OWB, with the remainder being with a shoulder, pocket, or ankle holster.

I never carry IWB any more. I've found that with the proper holster (a pancake-type leather holster seems to work best) OWB is just as concealable as IWB as long as the shirt is long enough (and your shirt riding up is still a concern with IWB carry too).

I voted IWB because I do that much more that OWB.
BTW, in the pocket is my preference and most frequent!

These days it is IWB at 5 or 6. It is funny how large a pistol you can conceal doing it that way. OWB can't be beat for comfort however.

Your not. I OWB ALL the time. I will be purchasing an IWB holster so that I can carry when I must tuck in my shirt (NOT that often at all however). You cannot beat OWB. With a 1911 and 2 spare mags all you need is a t-shirt and your good.
