Agreed. With deference to the death of Ann Richards, I don't think Texans are ready for another Older woman for Governor. Kinky wants to legalize pot and he is just goofy.

I must admit I don't know much about Bell, but I am going to find out.

I saw a Rick Perry ad last night. He is really talking strong about border security, and I believe that will take him a long way.

Its a 'tuff one for me. I can not forgive Perry for attempting to give away a huge chunk of Texas to some Spanish company. While I have never found anyone who isn't on the public dole who thinks the Texas Trans Corridor is a good idea. We re-elelect them instead of throwing them in jail for this outright thievery. While the 2nd ammendment might important, very important to some of us. I think that propery rights, and personal integrity are even more important.

I don't know who I'm going to vote for. Perry who is supposed to represent my conservative values, but sold his support to the multi-national corporations. Mr. Cotton has a point though any vote against Perry wil also likely be pro Anti.

Whoever I vote for will not leave me feeling good about it.

I will not have time to vote this year. I will be too busy spending my $2,000 property tax refund that Perry promised me.

I really do not know what to do this year. I live close enough to Houston to know I don't want Chris Bell and there is no way under the sun I can bring myself to vote for Perry again. Since Vincte Fox is soon to be out of work maybe we should just give it to him. I don't think he could be worse than our other choices.

I'm torn on this one. On one hand, any vote for a nominee that does not support gun rights is a vote to take away our gun rights. On the other hand, I am VERY unhappy with Perry over this whole Trans-Texas corridor thing.

I can not and will not vote for a person with liberal tendencies, which I believe Chris Bell has, so he is out. Kinky is a joke and the tough grandma isn't much better (although if I knew where she stood on gun rights I might be tempted to give her a shot).

In my opinion there is no good answer, but of the four I think Perry is probably the lesser of four evils (plus he's an Aggie like me). I'm just not sure I can vote for him.

When you can't put a bag on your head and vote for either of the major party candidates, there is an alternative: James Werner is the Libertarian Party cnadidate for governor. He does not appear to have a web site, and I don't know much about him.

As a moderate liberal (pro-gun, obviously, pro-life, anti-big business, VERY anti-George Bush) I can't really see any good coming from any of these candidates. Also, I don't know if any of you remember that whole debacle with the hurricane Katrina refugees, but Perry demanded that New Orleans compensate Texas for sheltering them. If you ask me, the compassionate is no longer sleeping with the conservative. What happened to giving some help to your neighbor?

We helped our neighbors and did not ask THEM for compensation. we asked the incompetent leaders of NO to pay up.

I agree with the lesser of 4 evils choices that we have running (as usual).

Going by the "boxes" principle, we'll just keep plugging along in vain with the first two, until ultimately we'll have to resort to the third. The "boxes" principle is somewhat as follows:

We have 3 boxes by which our voices can truly be heard: Soap box, ballot box, and the ammo box.

I'm not a member of the Tinfoil Hat Brigade, but I really think we're headed down the toilet in this country. I just don't know how fast the swirling water will pick up speed.
