Gun free zones make good targets. No sympathy for the company. Just saw it on Channel 13, I thought it was north of Houston, but unsure. Maybe this is a good time to write them again?

:iagree:
They deserve to get robbed.
I kinda feel sorry for the employees they put in danger (of course nobody is forced to work there).

I'm sorry but these type of remarks are uterly disgusting and childish. Nobody deserves to be robbed. These statements hold no purpose that you guys have voiced. YES... I would like to see Taco Cabanna change their policy towards CHL holders but even so if they did the place could still be robbed. Allowing a chl holder inside a buisness establishment is in no way a foolproof way to deter theives/robbers. Have some common sense and show some respect , sympathy and adultness. Besides i've seen countless postings that have been written from mature adult minded members on here that have stated if they were in a store at time of a robbery that instead of pulling to stop said crime that they would moreso just stay secured and be the best eyewitness possible. Which is the best defense to take unless life is 100% being taken. And also how are any of you to know that there wasnt someone or a few people with guns concealled in there at the time of incident. I've heard alot of members on here that have stted that in some resturants that they carry regardless of signage posted on doors.

A business located in a high crime area that makes it a vocal point to express their "no guns allowed on the premisies" policy gets robbed and this is considered news?

Might as well say "Man wearing meat suit attacked after entering tiger cage."

Did the robber have a gun and did he leave it outside?

Taco Cabana has no sympathy for us, why should we reciprocate?

The truth does hurt sometimes.

If the criminals knew there might be just and swift retribution waiting inside the Taco Cabana doors they would go elsewhere.

The employees that work there and know what is going on have the right to work elsewhere, just like some of us decide not to eat there. Loss of innocent life when it happens is sad, but there are reasons why these places are more succeptible to robbery.

The high road here is not necessarily us saying sweet nothings and expressing false sympathy. The high road would be for those responsible for the state of TC to actually think for once and give up the gun free zone.

Here, let me pass the salt to pour in that wound.

Having sympathy for and saying "they deserved it" are two different things.

It's also been made clear, even by Taco Cabana management, that there sign is not in compliance with 30.06.

The sign on the door is under sized but the sign inside is the proper size and is legal that is what there lawyer told me when I contacted them. And they will put you in jail.
No one here has suggested that they want anyone robbed, hurt or killed.
But when a company is so smug about how it keeps there customers and staff safe by keeping chl holders out then there is some satisfaction in seeing that position backfires….
