Security plan for church

#1

Post by Tim the Teacher »

With the current thread of church carry in progress I wanted to ask if there was anyone who had a security plan in place for their house of worship. I am on a committe at church that has been tasked with coming up with a viable security plan. The pastor and choir director know I carry. Any tips, pointers or suggestions would be appreciated.

One of the most important things ito remember in a Sanctuary setting is making sure every man or woman knows THEIR area. That way you do not shoot each other.

Tim we have a "Threat Response Plan" at our church that addresses problems from a small & simple verbal desturbance all the way through a shooting.

I am leaving for the hospital in less than an hour for knee replacement. We have ours in print. As soon as I am functional I will get it too you & we may be able to toak on the phone some too.
See you in print later w/ a new knee. :hurry:

I'll be interested in a copy of that plan, too.

Still praying for your speedy recovery.

Hi Longtooth,

Thought I would bring this up again as my committee meeting is approaching. I am still interested in seeing your church Threat Security Plan if your feeling up to it. You can send it to me by email if it's electronic and then we could discuss?

I would also be very interested in researching ideas for my church.
