that a CHL does not necessarily keep you from getting a ticket.

Well...not laughing at you getting a ticket. Just the way you put it.

Don't feel bad, I got a speeding ticket 3 days before Christmas last year despite having a CHL. The officer did thank me for showing him my CHL though.

Yeah I got one over in North Richland Hills. Seems my old Porsche 944 was doing 55 in a 35 right in front of the Police station.

I was thinking the same thing. I've been stopped once and didn't get a ticket, but I was just for a broken tail light... not doing 20 over in my Porsche. ;-)

yeah, i tested the theory this morning....

15 over and a CHL is apparently still a ticket.. thanks Grand Prairie PD :)

but in all honesty it wasn't speeding to go faster, i was avoiding another car and happened to accelerate a LOT more than i thought i did... at least he was polite and quick about it. None of that... "do you know why i stopped you?" nonsense.

Well, I was ticketed for running a red light. I knew I wasn't getting out of that one. Hope it's eligible for Defensive Driving.
