I posted this in another thread that was discussing essentially the same thing:

I was thinking of sending a letter myself, as I will be down there in a few weeks as well.oohrah wrote:I posted this in another thread that was discussing essentially the same thing:

Re: Pleasure Pier Galveston
I see where someone on the forum has confirmed the pier is owned by the City, so I was going to photograph the sign, and get the address and honcho of the PP head office. I would plan to write one letter and send it to both places.

Well that's just on the wall not at the entrance so to me if they really wanted to even have a chance of people seeing it it would be where you enterDanD wrote:Using the Street View feature of Google Maps you can see the 30.06 sign mounted on the left as you go up the ramp to the pier. The date of the image is April, 2015. Here is a link to the Street View that shows the 30.06 sign at the Pleasure Pier Galveston:

OK, so I finally got a good look at the placement of the sign. This is NOT posted on the entrance, only a PUBLIC walkway as it is city owned and is NOT closed at night. I have no clue what this sign is saying is off limits! Has anyone with legal experience weighed on on this???? I can honestly say that i would have never seen it if I was going in loaded!
